What is page indexing?

When a website is indexed, it means that the search engine has discovered and added this website to its database. The search engine uses this index to find and display relevant websites when people search for something online. So if your website is indexed, it can appear in the search results when someone searches for something related to the content on your website.

You can check if your website is indexed by doing a site search in Google. You do this by typing in “site:the URL you want to check”. For example: “site:https://solidmedia.no/guider/seo/

If the page you searched for appears, your website is indexed.

How do you ensure that the page gets indexed?

When you publish a new page on your website, you can ensure it gets indexed by requesting indexing in Google Search Console.
