What does Solid Media think about AI?

As a specialized agency delivering paid advertising and SEO, we have integrated AI as a valuable assistant in our busy day-to-day work across both of our disciplines. We see artificial intelligence as a collaborative partner and an opportunity to streamline parts of our work. This allows us to spend more time on customization, ensuring quality, and creating value for our clients.

How do we use AI in our work?

We have always been early adopters when it comes to testing new things. It is important to us to experiment with what’s new and stay at the forefront of technological development. We also see that those who dare to test and experiment are more likely to achieve growth and better results. At the same time, we are cautious about rolling out AI at scale for clients.

Advertising: For many years, advertising has been driven by algorithms, and we leverage this in our work with data analysis, customer behavior, customer insights, trends, target audiences, bidding strategies, and more. We use Google and Facebook in our work, where algorithms are built into the platforms. This helps us extract large volumes of data that Google and Meta have access to. This is work that humans are not able to perform on the same level as a computer. At the same time, the outcome will not be the same without human involvement, as AI cannot make decisions in the same way we can. For example, by adjusting the value of a conversion, or determining whether something is a good or a bad choice.

Search Engine Optimization: In the SEO department, we primarily use AI today to get inspiration and to streamline some time-consuming tasks. It is important to emphasize that AI technology is still at an early stage, and for that reason we do not use AI for production – but as a support tool, a kind of assistant. We create content for our clients on a wide range of topics, so if we get stuck at a difficult point and need inspiration, we use ChatGPT. This is one of several AI tools we are testing, along with SEO.AI and Keyword Insights, which are designed for SEO optimization.

How do we envision the use of AI in digital marketing going forward?

As the technology improves and becomes more widespread, we also believe our trust in AI will grow over time, enabling us to leverage it more. Today, AI is used mainly for creative work, but going forward we will likely use it more for analyzing large data sets. The workday will become more efficient, but we do not believe that computers will be able to perform tasks entirely on their own, for example five years from now. They will likely always depend on us to provide the right input and to define what they should do.
